Friends, Filk. Fandom. Take your pick.

Had packmentality over for food and fun last night. Why oh WHY does she have to go home? That's it. I'm going to kidnap her and force her to stay. We drank a big fracking bottle of wine, she told me her DH and AT stories (OMG I HATE her I LOVE her, Martin Gero knows who she IS!) we talked about fanfic and fandom and slash and Writercon and everything. I am really going to miss her.

Left for Seattle at about 10am. Hit the Duty free to see if I could find more of my fave perfume, cuz I got it there last time on sale. Turns out it was on sale cuz they were clearing it out and no longer carry it. Figures.

Border wait was about 20 minutes. Speculated to self that DH must have a Nexus pass since he ping pongs back and forth between WA and BC for work.

Drove through Bellingham and briefly thought about stopping by Target. Cuz DH is always making comments about having been to Target or taking Baz to Target, and I thought hey! What if I had a perfect fannish moment and actually ran into him there?

Realized that with my luck, I would turn around in the baby aisle, see JL and bebe, squee like a fangirl, trip over something, make a scene and totally humiliate myself. Also, is just a little too close to the stalking line. As much as his rendition of McKay (my sooper sekrit boifriend ZOMG) rocks my world, DH is entitled to have a life. I guess. I can be magnanimous.

Enjoyed fact I am in the Pacific Northwest in November and there is a shiny yellow orb in a bright blue sky; there were rumours abounding of cold, horrid white stuff coming down this weekend, however this has not happened.

Reflected that even if there were a storm, DH posted that he has a generator.

Thought about train of thoughts and admitted to self that was thinking too much about a certain actor. Resolved to keep thoughts focused on McKay instead. Cuz it's *Rodney* that I'm interested in anyway. Dammit! Make believe boyfriends are such a pain in the ass. They're never around much...

Have arrived at Gestalt; happily, runnerwolf is caught up with SGA, so I can geek about it with her. YAY!

Have several ideas for Atlantis filks going around in my head. Still percolating.

Hearing music taking place downstairs. Must go sing now.

That is all. For now.

Hrmmm.... broken name there, Shadz! :)

Also - Tar-ghay! Target can be a good place to shop, because, well, I got my Eureka DVDs there for $30.

Have fun filking - I am burning DVDs for an x-mas pressie for a friend. I have burned over 40 DVDs for her since yesterday. I'm doing the last of DW now. Next up: SGA!

Thanks for the heads up - fixed!

Target is purely USAian, so I never shop there. I have found, however, that HMV and FutureShop tend to have fairly decent DVD prices. Amazon.ca has good deals on occasion as well.

Did have fun filking. I know some seriously whacked people. It was a hoot.

*lol* The whacked people are so much more fun. ;)

I was very surprised to find Eureka cheaper at Tar-ghay, than Best Buy. But, Wally didn't carry it, nor did Sam's Club and not having a "live" debit card, atm, I had to go for cash purchase.... $30 wasn't too bad. It was like $40 at Best Buy, hence the buy there. :)

It's cold & drizzly here w/ temps right at the freezing mark, so I haven't gone far all weekend. Tomorrow, my goal is to go out and do shopping for massage supplies. I need to buy things like a table warmer, a mattress pad and lotion. I soooo need lotion. I have a whole shopping list. :p

SGA ficcage is going slow. I have one story that I need to do revisions on and so don't want to do it, because the beta reader is a total beta Nazi and made comments about irrelevant stuff. I am stumped on Lorne - hopefully he will quit being stubborn & let me get his tale written up shortly here. My own massive AU is also stalled, but the whump fic I started has come back up tonight. I have a lot of notes for it I'm typing up right now in between burning DVDs. ;)

SGA for the win! \o/

LOL! Totally!

I was thinking about it this weekend and realized that in the last few months I have corrupted shared the love with at least 5 people. I've lent out the DVDs so many times I've lost track - we've even got two of my daughter's friend's from school addicted.

Yes. SGA is made of win, yes it is.

Re: Touchdown!
It took me three years to finally succumb (I was strong!) because I never watched SG1 and I couldn't see myself watching 10 years to get up on the canon and be ready to see a spin-off, but then in March of this year something happened....I'm gonna blame David Hewlett because it's easier :) Anyway, I got S1, S2, and half of S3 and watched them all in 2 weeks so I could be ready when the second half of S3 came back from midseason break. Now, I'm totally hooked. I write, vid, pimp, discuss, review, and run awesomehewletts. It's a nice experience :)
