I wanted to get the kids out of the house for a while today. GG and MB both had Pro-D days, and if left to their own devices, it would have been computer game, DS games and PS2 games all day.

It was sunny, so I thought it was a nice day to drag their bikes to the gas station and refil the tires.

Not so much. Air hose was busted. So, I packed them all up, bought some treats at Safeway, and we went to Central Park instead.

We didn't stay long - it was chilly, and they are older now - turns out the park upgrade took out all the fun stuff for older kids and is aimed at the 2-8 year old set now. Boring for the 12 and 14 year old.

I dropped them off at the community center for some youth activities tonight, came home and started puttering around. About 15 minutes ago, someone came to the door and held out my wallet and said they found it at the park.

Holy shit.

Everything was still there.

My life would be so many different kinds of unholy hell if I lost my wallet. All my ID, credit cards, the kids Care Cards and birth certificates, *everything*.

There *IS* a God. I mean, seriously. IN the PARK. A couple hours ago. And he came to my DOOR to hand deliver it. Wow. Holy shit.

It's nice to have one's faith in humanity restored now and again. :-)

That's a relief! There are still people with ethics in the world, and one of them appeared on your doorstep. :) I'm glad your wallet was found and returned safely...

So glad you got your wallet back.

I keep thinking that if I lost mine it would be a disaster and intend to lighten the load. You should make a photocopy of everything and keep it at home so you will have a place to start if you have to replace things.

Wow, Diogenes would be shocked! An honest man.

I'm glad you got your wallet back, babe; and before you even realized it was missing, so no drama and worry. Double score! :-)

No kidding! I had a mini freak out on the spot, when I realized I hadn't even realized, but short and sweet. Thank god.

I once had someone find, about 12 blocks from our place, and mail back to us, a cheque they'd found in the street, made out to our paperboy - two months earlier...

Uhm. Actually, no. I didn't. I thought about it, but I was so shell shocked, I was gaping like Rodney when he realizes the John is really a lot smart than he pretends to be...

And then the guy was gone and the moment was lost. But wow, eh? That was cool.

It's good to see that people still do that - there's still hope for human kind.

Oh, man. That's awesome that it got delivered to you intact.

Many congrats. It's truly awesome that people are still willing to help in this [cynical] day and age.

Congrats!! I did the opposite the other day - I found a wallet at the library. They'd left at the self check out. I gave it to the librarian. Hopefully, it ends well.

But I highly recommend cleaning out your wallet - you definitely had stuff in there you don't need to carry around everyday.

Glad it worked out.

Seconded. I had some info I should have removed (such as vaccination certificates) and they have been lost since my wallet was swiped two years ago. Sigh.
