I want this.

Why pay $100 more for the top of the line model?

Then again, it's a moot point, cuz I can't afford it right now.

I think I need some cheese with that...

*puts it on the Christmas list*

Okay, I have avoided house cleaning for long ehough. Time to go attack the bathroom floor. Blah.

I don't think they download in Canada - I know you can't get it directly and live in Canada.

Well doesn't that suck!

I suppose it would give me a reason to pop across the line now and then, since I am only an hour away from Blaine.

Kindle? Sony eReader? Meh.

Until they (1) show color, (2) allow me to use my extant ebooks, including all the major formats (txt, doc, pdf, pdb, prc, and lit, specifically), and (3) have a great deal more memory than the current readers do (I'm thinking 1GB onboard with a card slot that handles SDHD or equivalently large cards, up to 32GB or so), I'll pass. And continue to read on my phone, which can do all those things (and which suffers from a far smaller screen and lower screen resolution; I can solve those slightly if I move from a 320x240 screen to one that does 800x600, but that's not anytime soon).

I actually was quite happy reading on my laptop. Which I broke. *sigh*

But this looks cool! And also, I don't have a phone. But those iTouch things look neat and prolly do the same thing...

There is apparently now Kindle software for the iPhone. Which I can't review, as there's a hard and fast rule against buying anything that has a small "i" prepended to real English words in this household. (We own an iPod and two old iMacs that were found on the street. Not one penny to Cupertino; as few as possible to Redmond, as well. That's my feeling about the two Evil Computer Empires.)

If you do decide to shop for a phone, I recommend Wirefly as a site with good, low prices and a wide range of hardware and plan choices.

If wishes were boxtops -
Hey, I want Brian Wilson's hairline; the ****er's 66 and still has every hair he had when he was 18...

*pets you* Wesley wants you to have wine. And maybe cheese.

I would take wine and cheese from Wesley *anytime*. And curl up with him and let him read to me - screw the kindle.

Why pay 269 for an e-book? You can get an e-bookwise technologies one for $125! Works fine, can get software for non-DRM books, and make your own.

I want the one you have, but I can't find it anywhere! Have you seen it out there? I like yours!

Ok... I lied, you can get it for 109.95, but I wouldn't recommend that configuration:

While I do see that a desire has been "Kindled" ... and would not "Blaine" you for trying to get same ...

Just remember how much *month* there is at the end of your money these days. (Credit cards, anyone? :-)
