You know that you're an SGA addict when....

One of the guys at my work is currently crowing with pride because he found a mistake in a calculus text book for the course he's taking and posted it on the discussion forums.

He got an email from his Prof asking for proof - which he posted on the forums. It sounds like they're not too pleased with the public nature of his pointing out the stupid.

The first thing *I* think when I overhear him boasting about this to our co-workers? "So, this is what McKay was like in school. No wonder his profs wanted to strangle him..."

LOL! You know, I went to school with a couple of guys like McKay, although they fancied themselves experts on English and writing, rather than math and science. I definitely wanted to strangle them at times.

As a teacher, when I have a student who finds a mistake in the text or on a worksheet, I give extra credit.

If I am the one who has made a mistake, and the student *politely* corrects me, I sing a chorus of Bill Roper's "Apology" song in front of the class:

"You were right. And I was wrong. And there's nothing I can do except admit it in this song, 'cause you were right!"

(McKay would not get sung to, for he would rub my face in it.)

LOL! McKay is the kind who would need a clue by four to even realize that perhaps he was being a bit of a prick! He's a little slow on the uptake sometimes...

Heading up early but will be there at 6. I'm not thrilled about Caprica, but I'm only going up because I won't be up in Feb. If you're not planning on, don't worry. Nothing exciting going on. =)

I believe Darryl Huber did the same thing re some manner of manual/template during his stint with Top Producer out in Richmond.

Never show the boss he is an - orifice - yeah, yeah, that's it, an 'oriface', in public...
