Oh. My. God.

Sometimes? I am a social moron. Seriously. On occasion, I'm quite certain that my social IQ would prevent me from passing the Turing test.

*hangs head*

Uhm. So, you know. If I say something totally inappropriate? Or act like a total idiot and hurt your feelings? Seemingly disregard you? Act like a cliquey bitch?

PLEASE feel free to smack me upside the head and tell me to stop being a moron.

Yup. Just call me Meredith. Seriously.

I'm sorry. I know how you feel. A friend of many years recently broke up with me - and I still don't know what I said or did...
Some people have antennas for certains social nuances, some people don't.
If you're worried that maybe you are sometimes tactless (your post seems to imply it), then let me tell you that tactless goes hand in hand with truthful. And there are worse things than being truthful. (When I met you, you struck me as a heart on your sleeve kind of person - in a good way)

Not sure if that helps at all. *hug*

*hugs* I think you're great, really. You've got a good heart, and that shines through. People who see that will give you grace if/when you misstep, and will let you know and give you a chance to fix it.

"Meredith" who? My big social faux-pas; not being up on catch-phrases. Rather like not getting a Seinfeld reference 20 years ago (whether you dug the show or not, it was force to be reconned with - rather like Cheech & Chong in high school, whether you tripped or not).

I have not had a real response from an old acquaintance of FB & I don't know why; I don't know which God of Political Correctness I've offended, either.

You're not a 'FanGirl'. (I could name some others we both know)

Sounds like you could use more of a hug than a smack. I think you're doing enough head-desking as it is.

We all make foot-in-mouth mistakes from time to time. Those of us like you and me will often say *exactly* what we think, as we think it, and those truths get us in trouble.

Love ya anyway (or perhaps because.)

The only horrible social faux pas I've seen you make is to not record an album of your songs. But I'm sure that you'll correct that attrocious behaviour at some point in the future. In the mean time, you are forgiven.

Er, what I meant to say was *hug*.

I think I love you.

because you should record!

Very much agreed on that!

Please DO record an album of your songs. If pondside can do it, so can you. [Though I'll also admit that pondside has quite a lot of talent too ... and she shares with me a taste for cello music. :-)]

Awww~! *hugs* I think we all have days when we feel like that, and what seems like a major social error to us is something that other people won't even remember. (At least that's how I console myself. *g*)

We still love you... even when you are human (like me)...

and.... Christmas, did I mention Christmas?

I call it "foot-in-mouth" disease ... and I too suffer from it rather severely.

It doesn't help that John Skinner and his sense of humor [which for you is a tad triggering] keep popping up in my thoughts either. Methinks my brain is bent ... :-/

Good thoughts and virtual {{hugs}} your way.
