Donuts & bagels exist, and are in the break room.

Get them before one of those things stops being true.

while (donuts.exist()) {
donuts.get(breakroom);
}

Object Oriented Donut Eating

Hmm, I kind of think that donuts.exist() would be a property not a method. Also, I wonder if you really need your own custom “donuts” collection rather than just re-using a generic collection.

donuts.exist() is a demand, not a query :)

While you discuss the finer points of programing them, I’ll just eat them contentedly.

As long as you keep your donut and bagel existence checks separate. Wouldn't want to call a toppings.creamcheese() on your maple glaze.

MMmmmm…..maple glaze.

The lengths we’ll go to to make our donuts tax-deductable!

This concludes Computational Donutology 101. Your tax receipts are in the mail.

var donuts = breakroom.Food.Where(f => f.Type == Donut))
if (donuts.Any())
{
var bestDonut = donuts.OrderByDescending(d => d.TastyFactor).First();
donuts.Remove(bestDonut);

if (calories > Settings.MaxCalorieFactor)
{
Donut[] donutParts = donutSegmentationService.Slice(bestDonut, 2);
donuts.Add(donutParts[0]);

var guiltFreeDonut = donutParts[0];
return guiltFreeDonut;
}
else
{
return bestDonut;
}
}
else
{
return fridgeService.Search(FoodType.Snacks).OrderBy(f => f.TastyFactor).FirstOrDefault();
}

At least they're fresh in the 'States; up here a lot of the TH outlets microwave their baked goods, rather than making them up fresh at the store.

We DO have a Krispy Kreme here...

I just realised my team are not all that geeky for a bunch of computer programmers - their first response would be to eat the donuts! Then again our office runs on cake the way Atlantis runs on coffee.
