Sometimes I wonder why I do these things...

I really am kind of crazy. I am in one of those periods where I think I haven't a single ounce of creativity left in my entire body, and I despair of coming up for an idea to base a story around. Plus, I've been out of touch and would have missed putting in a request for artwork at ALL if mific hadn't sent out the reminders.

And then I think about it and remember, right! I love John and Rodney - I love Atlantis! That's why I keep signing up for sgareversebang.

Everything already had at least one claim on it by the time I got there (that will teach me for losing track!) and all the stuff I would have normally asked for was already double claimed; I did see a lovely piece that was all about TEAM though, and that really appealed to me. Turns out that I got it, too. I hope I can do it justice; it already feels more complicated than anything I've written in a while.

I think I need to plot this baby out. I downloaded a trial copy of Scrivener on em_kellesvig's recommendation, so I think this will be the perfect test to see if it works for me. Now, I just need to find my motivation. If anyone sees my muse hanging around, please tell it to go home, 'k?

I really hope your muse isn't sitting on a beach in the Bahamas with mine, that slack off! And that Scrivener works for you. Keep me updated on it, will ya? I'm very interested for... reasons.

I'm quite interested in knowing how Scrivener works for you too. (I've got windows xp so I'm not downloading any new programs until I figure out what I'm going to do about that)

Also, extra Yay! for a new shaddyr story!

The tutorial has been interesting thus far, so I am hoping that it will be awesome.

Yes, yes, another shad story - if I can get my lazy butt in gear!

I haven't started writing yet, but I will let you know what I think when I do. I started to go through the tutorial, and I liked it - I just have to get to know the software. It looks like it will be useful.

I have no doubt what you come up with will be amazing :D

You are very good for my ego. :)

LOL I do my best XD

I know exactly what you mean... I got one of my original choices this time, only due to sheer luck, but until I see the entire piece, I have no idea what I'm going to write... I've always found that unless there's an obvious 'tell' in the preview, the final piece can be very, very different.

So, I'm waiting... sigh...

I've resisted the Scrivener, so I'll be interested in what you have to say about it...

It's always nice to get your first choice - and I've been really lucky the last few years to get it!

I think this one will be good, though - I love the team, so you can't go wrong with that. Turns out my artist is big on communication (has already emailed me!) so I am looking forward to working with her.

Scivener looks interesting - we'll see how well it works. :)

It has allowed me to get 3/4 of the way through a novel I've been threatening to write for yonks.

In my most recent post I have provided some inspiration for you, Shad.

So glad you made it and claimed a lovely piece of art, there are some really gorgeous pieces. I was lucky in that I was the first to post (I think due to the fact that it was midnight here and I was literally sitting there waiting to post so I could go to sleep) so got my first choice which has really inspired me.

I have never heard of Scrivener so have no idea what it's like but happy writing, I look forward to seeing your story in due course!

I am glad you are playing along as well! Isn't it cool to have art that is specifically SGA to inspire us? I love that!

Scrivener is supposed to help you keep notes and research and timelines and story snippets all organized. I've had 7 working copies of a story, and 5 or 6 different text files or notes with snippets of dialogue and separate research docs - this is supposed to let you link it all together. I am hopeful that it will make writing a little more organized.

Hah! I feel much the same. I wouldn't have tried my hand at the reversebang except for the fact that I'd never done it before, and so many of the SGA fests are winding down now. I didn't want to miss out on my chance to do it, you know?

I'm happy with my artwork--it will be different and a stretch for me, which is nice, but I needed another commitment like I needed new fenestration in my head. But we're all in this together, right? Looking forward to seeing what you do with your piece!

*iz cheerleader*

I am delighted that the sgareverbang shows no signs of ending so far. I was very sad that the McShep match ended; I really liked that one.

You are doing the historical looking one? Oh, man - so much intimidation for me to even try something like that. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

See, people keep saying that, and now I'm starting to go, "Crap! What did I sign myself up for?!" :-)

*runs to go look at the deadline again*
